Welcome to
Welcome to Blandford St Mary Church of England Primary School. I feel immensely proud to be the Headteacher of this wonderful one-form entry school where children truly are at the heart of everything we do.
We offer excellent standards of care, guidance and support and a high-quality learning environment to support all learners equally. The school upholds an ethos of high expectations which provides children with challenging opportunities where children acquire skills, knowledge and confidence that can be applied to all future learning experiences. These opportunities encourage respect, self-belief, excellence and enjoyment and prepare our pupils for the next stage of their education.

We are incredibly proud to share that Lenny and his nanny recently presented a cheque to Weldmar Hospicecare on behalf of our school community. As a school, we held a fundraising non-uniform day in honour of Lenny's mum, Zoe, who sadly passed away last month after her battle with cancer. Lenny, Ben, Doreen and the rest of the family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to all our parents, carers, pupils and staff for their kindness, generosity and support. Your contributions helped us raise funds for a charity that provided invaluable care and support during a very difficult time. Thank you for coming together as a community and making a difference. #community #fundraising #weldmarhospice #thankyou #school
Year 6 loved their DSAT Leavers' Service at Salisbury Cathedral today! We were honoured to be chosen to lead the school banner parade, proudly carrying the DSAT banner. To top off a wonderful day, we were lucky enough to have our photo taken with Mr Lacey. The weather may not have been on our side, but it certainly didn't dampen our spirits! Our Year 6 class was an absolute credit to the school, representing us with outstanding behaviour, positivity and pride throughout the day. We are so proud of you all! #Year6 #leaversservice #primaryschool #bethelight #salisburycathedral

World Oceans Day Today on World Oceans Day, we're reminded that the oceans are more than vast bodies of water- they are a gift from God, sustaining life, regulating our climate and revealing the beauty of creation. As stewards of this planet, we have a responsibility to care for what has been entrusted to us. Every choice we make-reducing waste, protecting marine life and respecting nature- reflects our commitment to that responsibility. Faith is not only about what we believe; it's also about how we care for the world around us. Let's honour God by protecting our oceans for future generations. "The earth is the Lord's, and everything in it." Psalm 24:1 #WorldOceansDay #creation #responsibility #Stewardship #ProtectOurOceans

Our hearts are full. We have been completely overwhelmed by the kindness, generosity and support shown by our wonderful parents and carers. Year 6 have been working hard to raise money for their end-of-year production through the sale of hot drinks and cakes, and the response from our school community has been nothing short of incredible. To everyone who donated, baked delicious treats or simply stopped by to support us - THANK YOU. Every cake, every purchase and every act of kindness has helped make a difference. The generosity shown has reminded us just how special our school community is. We are so grateful for the support, encouragement and care that surrounds our children. Thank you doesn't seem enough, but please know how deeply your kindness is appreciated. Your support will help make Year 6's final production a truly memorable one. With heartfelt thanks, Year 6 #fundraising #year6 #thankyou #grateful #happychildren

What a week it has been To our incredible Year 6s- we could not be prouder of you. Over the past few weeks you have shown determination, resilience, courage and maturity through SATs week, supporting one another and giving every challenge your best effort. You proved that "even if you're little, you can do a lot" and reminded us all just how amazing young people can be when they believe in themselves. Now the SATs are over... it's time for something magical, a little mischievous, and very well deserved ...because sometimes you have to be "a little bit naughty" to change your story You have grown into a group of confident, funny, creative and determined young people, and we cannot wait to celebrate everything you have achieved this year. #education #bigreveal #production #matilda #schoolplay
